The Professor (Sergio Marquina) is a fictional character in the Netflix series Money Heist, portrayed by Álvaro Morte. He is the mastermind of the heist who assembled the group, as well as Berlin’s brother.

History Of Song

“Bella ciao” meaning is ( “Goodbye beautiful”) is an Italian protest folk song that originated in the late 19th century, sung by the mondina workers in protest to the harsh working conditions in the paddy fields of North Italy.

Bella Ciao” was originally sung as “Alla mattina appena alzata” by seasonal workers of paddy fields of rice, especially in Italy’s Po Valley from the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century with different lyrics. They worked at monda (weeding) the rice fields in northern Italy, to help the healthy growth of young rice plants. It took place during the flooding of the fields, from the end of April to the beginning of June every year, during which the delicate shoots needed to be protected, during the first stages of their development, from temperature differences between the day and the night. It consisted of two phases: transplanting the plants and pruning the weeds.

It Took Five Auditions To Become The Professor

 El Professor meant that Alvaro Morte competed for the position of the best criminal mastermind in the history of crime drama. To bag the role, he had to beat the likes of The Blacklist‘s Raymond Reddington and Prison Break‘s Michael Scofield. The directors wanted a 50-year old man with the looks of a Havard-like professor to fill the post, which was just over five years above Morte’s actual age at the time.

The directors had worked with him before, though, so they quickly recommended him. He, however, had to audition five times over two months, getting it wrong each time before nailing the role after his fifth attempt. The first time, he thought Money Heist would copy Ocean’s Eleven, and he needed to be more like George Clooney, but he got it right in the end.

Real Life Professorship

Alvaro Morte is now called El Profesor by many fans when they see him in public, but he hasn’t achieved that name from any academic qualifications, yet. He is, however, a professor in his own right since he gives lectures to students on literature and Stage Management at Tampere University in Finland, where he studied on a scholarship after his studies in Spain.

There are few details about the nature of his role at the university, but it is rumored that he gives part-time lectures, which would make his scenes as Sergio Marquina teaching the gang feel rather familiar.

Before getting global recognition, Alvaro Morte had a brush with cancer and had a feeling that he wouldn’t make it. He was diagnosed with a tumor in his leg in 2011, which turned out to be cancer. Morte thought he would be dead in three months and wondered if he was ready for it.

After His treatment went well, though, and he was declared cancer-free a few months later. After getting past his scary experience, he vigorously resumed his acting career, landing the role of Sergio ‘El Professor’ Marquina in La Casa De Papel a few years later, which was the rebirth of his career.

Many successful actors have always felt the calling to entertain others, but Alvaro Morte isn’t part of that crew. Becoming an actor wasn’t Alvaro’s plan A. Before pursuing a career in acting, he was in school studying to become an enginner.

So why when this hobby narrates then whenever she talks about the professor she uses a word that the professor has been her guardian angel. To being with, it could also mean that the professor is dead and Tokyo is telling someone else about him. Visiting a customer can prove to be a big hobby for all of us fans.

Because from part 1 the professor is the only person behind this gang.
